- 1 pound of breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
- 1 cup of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
- 1/2 cup of milk (whole milk preferred)
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well using your hands.
- Add the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix to the sausage and cheese mixture.
- Pour in the milk and mix until combined. Adjust with more milk if necessary.
- Sprinkle in the garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls using a small cookie scoop or your hands.
- Place the sausage balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
- Optionally, sprinkle extra shredded cheddar cheese on top of each ball.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving platter.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as spicy mustard or ranch dressing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
