- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like chives or parsley, optional)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper for baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of cottage cheese. Blend if desired for a smoother texture.
- Crack 3 large eggs, separating the yolks from the whites. Keep the whites in a separate bowl.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar to the egg whites.
- Mix the cottage cheese and egg yolks until well combined. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper if using.
- Fold in chopped fresh herbs if desired.
- Whip the egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form (3-5 minutes).
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture until just combined.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with cooking spray.
- Scoop the batter onto the baking sheet, forming 4-6 mounds about 1/2 inch thick.
- Smooth the tops with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
