Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 medium ripe banana
- 1 cup coconut milk (canned or carton, unsweetened)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconut (unsweetened, for garnish)
- Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker texture)
- Fresh pineapple slices (for garnish, optional)
- Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and lay them out on the counter for easy access.
- Measure 1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks. If using fresh pineapple, add a handful of ice cubes later.
- Peel and slice the banana into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- If using canned coconut milk, shake it well before opening. Measure out 1 cup if using carton coconut milk.
- If desired, measure 1 tablespoon of maple syrup for added sweetness.
- Add the frozen pineapple chunks to the blender, followed by the sliced banana and coconut milk. If using, add the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for about 30-60 seconds until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more coconut milk if too thick.
- Check the consistency and taste. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add ice cubes and blend again. For sweetness, add more maple syrup if desired.
- Prepare tall glasses for serving. Pour the smoothie into the glasses, using a spatula to scrape out any remaining smoothie from the blender.
- Garnish with shredded coconut, fresh pineapple slices, and mint leaves for an extra touch.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing smoothie!
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best sweetness and flavor.
- Feel free to customize with additional ingredients like spinach or protein powder.
