Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir occasionally to ensure it melts evenly without browning.
- Once the butter is melted, add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the sugars are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and continue stirring. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- While the fudge base is still warm, add the white chocolate chips to the mixture. Stir continuously until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Once the chocolate is fully incorporated, gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chopped pecans (if using). Make sure the marshmallows are evenly distributed throughout the fudge mixture.
- Prepare a 9×9-inch square baking dish by lining it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the top. Make sure to press it down gently to eliminate any air pockets.
- Once the fudge is evenly spread, cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place it in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- After the fudge has set, remove it from the refrigerator. Use the overhanging parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the baking dish.
- Place the fudge on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut the fudge into small squares or rectangles, depending on your preferred serving size.
- Once cut, dust the top of the fudge with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness and presentation.
- Transfer the fudge pieces to a serving platter or an airtight container for storage. If youre not serving them immediately, store the fudge in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
Notes
- For a stronger cinnamon flavor, consider adding an extra 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the fudge mixture.
- Feel free to customize the fudge by adding other mix-ins such as chocolate chips, dried fruits, or different nuts.
- To make the fudge even more visually appealing, drizzle some melted chocolate over the top before it sets.
- Ensure that the fudge is completely cooled before cutting to prevent it from becoming too sticky.
- If you prefer a softer fudge, reduce the setting time in the refrigerator slightly, but be cautious as it may be harder to cut.
