Description
Enjoy a refreshing Arnold Palmer, a perfect blend of black tea and lemonade thats ideal for hot days. This easy-to-make drink combines the robust flavor of tea with zesty lemonade, making it a classic favorite for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of freshly brewed black tea (cooled to room temperature)
- 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemonade
- 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar (optional, to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slices (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and add 2-3 black tea bags (depending on how strong you like your tea).
- Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor will be.
- After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature. If youre in a hurry, you can place the tea in the refrigerator to speed up the cooling process.
- While the tea is cooling, prepare the lemonade. Start by squeezing fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice. This usually takes about 4-6 lemons, depending on their size and juiciness.
- In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with 1 cup of cold water.
- If you prefer your lemonade sweet, add 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar to the mixture. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add more honey or sugar if you like it sweeter.
- Once the tea has cooled, its time to combine it with the lemonade. In a large pitcher, pour in the cooled black tea and the prepared lemonade.
- Stir the mixture gently to combine the two beverages.
- Taste the Arnold Palmer and adjust the sweetness if needed. If you find it too strong, you can add more water or lemonade to balance the flavors.
- Fill tall glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the Arnold Palmer mixture over the ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
- Garnish each glass with a slice of fresh lemon on the rim and a sprig of mint if youre feeling fancy.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing drink on a hot day or whenever you need a little pick-me-up!
